Brian received his Masters of Science in Acupuncture at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, one of the nation’s leading schools for acupuncture, massage, Chinese herbal medicine, and integrative medicine. After practicing for 7 years, he returned to school for an advanced training in Herbal Medicine and obtained a Master's Degree in Oriental Medicine from the Acupuncture and Massage College.
Although his extensive training has prepared him to treat all the ailments that acupuncture is effective for, he focuses on the treatment of pain, particularly due to sports and dance injuries, as well as those stemming from emotional roots. Additionally, he has an extensive patient following for his success in treating digestive and gynecological disorders and infertility.
Brian is certified in Neurofunctional Acupuncture, a specialized modality that utilizes electrical stimulation on the needles to treat chronic pain disorders. As a complement this modality, Brian utilizes manual therapy and his training in Active Release Technique to maximize results. He is also certified in Facial Revitalization Acupuncture, a non-surgical method of reducing the signs of the aging process.
Besides treating patients in his Union Square office, Brian is the founder and director of Bronx Wellness Acupuncture & Massage, P.C., the largest holistic center of medicine that provides acupuncture, massage, herbal medicine, nutritional guidance, and exercise (Qi Gong and Tai Ji); all five branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Having a a background and a Master's in Education, Brian has a passion for learning and teaching.
- As a teacher, his immediate goal is to educate his patients about the interconnection of the body and mind, and the importance of a well-balanced lifestyle. Accordingly, he is was an active independent health coach for the highly successful weight loss programs Take Shape for Life and Team Beach Body. With these tools, he has been able to change many people’s lives by helping them find optimal health following an effective weight-loss regimen, nutritional coaching, and cardiovascular fitness.
Brian's ultimate goal is to spread his love and passion for Oriental Medicine by opening clinics throughout the country, one state at a time. Currently, he has two thriving practices in New York City and will be opening an additional practice in South Florida, where he currently resides.
